Turning generosity into smiles for 100 kids
Because of Afni Mexico's support, nearly 100 students from Miguel Hidalgo Elementary School in Monterrey celebrated Children’s Day with gifts, laughter, and big smiles on April 30.
Every donation and volunteer hour helped make the day meaningful – for them and for us.
What we made possible, together
Employees stepped up, turning care and teamwork into real support for local students.
-
Nearly 100 children supported
-
80 candy filled water bottles and around 60 toys donated by the Recruitment team
-
Cupcakes were also provided to make the celebration even sweeter
How the day came together
A group of six Afni employees was on site at the school, supporting activities and spending time with the kids throughout the day. Ahead of the celebration, the team sorted gifts by age group and preferences to ensure smooth, thoughtful distribution.
At the school, students joined activities by grade level, creating a fun, organized experience for everyone involved. The result? Happy kids, grateful school staff, and moments that reminded us why this work matters.

A moment that made the day
This initiative started with a simple ask and a lot of heart. When one of our employees reached out for help donating toys, the response was immediate. The Recruitment team coordinated closely with the HR team to expand the effort across Afni, turning one request into a company-wide act of generosity.
Another highlight the kids won’t forget came courtesy of the bunny. Huge thanks to one of our Training Coaches who stayed in costume throughout the event, even in 38°C heat, to keep the experience magical for the kids. That level of commitment didn’t go unnoticed.
As Human Resources Director, Rodolfo Ordorica shared,
“This initiative was both emotional and rewarding for everyone involved. Beyond the donations, it strengthened our connection with the local community and reinforced Afni Mexico’s commitment to giving back. We also leave with the intention of continuing to supporting this school through future initiatives, after learning more about the needs of their students.”
