Talent Acquisition Specialist

Afni is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist who is responsible for assisting internal business partners with their staffing needs. They do this by understanding those staffing needs and being an integral part of the selection, offer and onboarding processes throughout the entire candidate experience. *Position resides onsite at our contact center located on East Escalante Road in Tucson, AZ. Salary range is $45k-55k depending on experience.*

What you will be doing:

  • Candidate selection, offers, and onboarding:
  • Coordinate with Recruiters to ensure proper candidate sourcing and evaluation based on candidate experience, skills, goals, and competencies to determine best fit for role and organization.
  • Plan and execute successful recruitment events supporting targeted needs of the organization (career fairs, realistic job previews, etc.).
  • Meet established hiring targets, time-to-fill commitments, and 90-day retention goals for on-site positions.
  • Manage the agent job requisition process (open and close hiring requisitions) and monitor for compliance for assigned positions.
  • Use the Applicant Tracking System (ADP) and the Recruitment Marketing Tools to source, convert, contact, nurture, and schedule prospective employees to meet hiring goals of the assigned work group.
  • Extend job offers
  • Move candidates to hire requisition
  • Determine training and production schedules & record on training spreadsheet
  • Build offer letter
  • Initiate pre-employment background checks and drug testing as appropriate
  • Collect and process new-hire onboarding documentation
  • Assist in providing clear and concise reporting to business leaders and HR colleagues for tracking progress in sourcing candidates for current as well as anticipated open roles.
  • When necessary, support multi-site recruiting by working with the Talent Acquisition Team and candidates remotely (email, phone, Skype) and in-person. This includes servings as a backup interviewer. If applicable, coordinate pre-employment testing with candidates.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitive employment landscape (including wages), market intelligence, and innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete in a competitive market.
  • Create proactive action plans when progress in filling roles is lacking and ensure business partners have clear understanding of mitigation plans.
  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with Afni policies and federal and state guidelines.
  • Properly document and maintain records.
  • Initiate ID requests to ensure new hire class has systems access.
  • Ensure that the new employee experience on day 1 is "best in class" by working with Training, Operations and Human Resources to develop a standard onboarding procedure that evaluates and measures the success of the new hire onboarding experience.
  • Business Partnership and Compliance:
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand the requirements and expectations of the job(s). This includes conducting firsthand assessment of the position(s) to be filled.
  • Educate business partners on critical steps in the acquisition process and work with trainers to understand areas of opportunity in hiring.
  • Partner with HR colleagues and hiring managers to develop creative recruitment and retention strategies for open positions and in anticipation of future workforce planning needs.
  • Attend staffing calls to ensure proper confirmation of training & transition schedules.
  • Talent Acquisition Support:
  • Support Talent Acquisition program development and identify recommendations to continuously improve the recruitment processes and the tools used to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support multi-site recruitment by working with Talent Acquisition Team and candidates remotely (email, phone, Skype) as well as in-person.
  • Meet established hiring targets, time-to-fill commitments, and 90-day retention goals.
  • Complete candidate interviews with a sales approach that engages candidates to the point candidates are excited to join the Afni team. Make hiring decisions with the help of program assigned assessments
  • Follow-up with new hires to ensure a remarkable employee experience.


What you will need:
  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent
  • Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Human Resources preferred
  • 3+ years experience recruiting in a fast-paced environment, or equivalent experience
  • Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications and applicant tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Strong customer focus and effective use of a consultative approach.
  • Strong organizational skill with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements are constantly changing. Willingly accepts change and demonstrates a process improvement mindset.
