Subrogation Operations Director

Are you an accomplished insurance subrogation / claims leader with a passion to drive performance while maintaining an exceptional client relationship? We are seeking a Subrogation Operations Director who will own and oversee all program key performance indicators, including recovery goals, quality, staffing levels, attrition, attendance, profitability and client satisfaction. The Director will be responsible for leading and developing a high performing team of Operations and Team Managers focused on meeting the organizational and revenue goals of our subrogation operation. Servicing both the Auto and Property lines of business, the Director will be responsible for leading our carrier to carrier subrogation teams, our arbitration teams, our uninsured motorist teams, our litigation team and our property teams, with accountability in said goal attainment.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead Managers to meet or exceed appropriate program data KPI's from the perspective of improving recovery performance and quality on both Consumer and Insurance Subrogation business. Oversee analysis of daily, weekly and monthly reports to current status and initiate operational change to increase revenue and/or reduce cost and improve financial results. Lead client-operations reviews ensuring all appropriate deadlines are met.
  • Foster client contact and maintain a solid client interface with open lines of communication to ensure we are obtaining the highest levels of performance and client expectations. Oversee the operating procedures of the program(s) to ensure client and company standards are being met or exceeded.
  • Work with functional departments to accurately forecast, hire, train, and redistribute resources as required. Own relationship with IT and related vendors to enable technologies geared towards product enhancements and/or new product development.
  • Ensure planning, analysis and adherence of program's operational budget with a focus on the return on investment associated with receivables management productivity.
  • Build positive relationships between support personnel and operations personnel to ensure top efficiency and production.
  • Lead internal program communications to define program(s) objectives and accomplishments and promote a culture of unity, fairness and trust.

Requirements

What you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of proven management experience in the insurance subrogation / claims industry including carrier to carrier, property, arbitration and uninsured motorist claims.
  • Intimate knowledge of insurance subrogation and claims processes with the motivational skills to effectively drive performance.
  • Demonstrated budgetary and P & L experience.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills as well as exemplary oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong organizational and planning skills along with operational creativity.
  • Ability to analyze and accurately report Operational results.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Possess a passion for Customer Service.
  • Ability to cope with frequent and unexpected changes.
  • Ability to travel 10 to 15%.
