Sr. Staff Accountant Supervisor
Afni is hiring a Sr. Staff Accountant Supervisor who provides in depth financial statement analysis to upper management as well as train and mentor other team members in accounting related functions. The incumbent will coordinate and / or lead recurring processes and independently maintain the accounting for payroll, as well as the analysis of payroll expenses and various other month end functions. Hybrid schedule would require some onsite presence at our Corporate Headquarters in Bloomington, IL.
What you will be doing:
- Prepare month-end financial statements through analysis and compilation of work papers.
- Prepare, adjust, and analyze journal entries.
- Prepare documentation for External Auditors.
- Provide financial statement analysis and reports for Management.
- Coach and mentor Level I accounting positions and delegate financial responsibilities, as necessary.
- Coordinate or lead various recurring processes.
Requirements
What you will need:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent is required.
- Five years of accounting experience and at least two-four years of experience leading a team is preferred.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and GAAP for audit preparation is required.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office products is required.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
