Lead Nurse - Sta. Rosa
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hiring, teaching and training (20%) - Be able to assist in hiring and training nurses who are new to the profession or the facility by providing clear directions. They also conduct ongoing staff training.
- Budgeting & Procurement (20%) - In addition to managing staff, be of assistance in overseeing their unit’s finances. They create budgets, make fiscal adjustments and monitor expenses. In partnership with Finance, complete order request form relating to Wellness team supplies as well as audit of inventory once delivered and identify the need for replenishment.
- Scheduling (15%) - Ensure that all onsite shifts are fully staffed for optimal patient/employee safety. They work with staff members to attain a work-life balance.
- Enforcing protocols (20%) - As leaders, nurse supervisor is responsible for establishing and maintaining the safety of staff and patients/employees. Nurse supervisor writes and updates policies and procedures and are expected to lead by example.
- Discipline (15%) - Nursing supervisor discipline staff members when necessary, using positive techniques that emphasize retraining and reteaching rather than punishment and embarrassment.
- To be able to perform any task/responsibility as deemed necessary by your manager. (10%)
Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills):
- Registered Nurse
- Minimum 5years experience in the field
- Strong understanding of the clinical protocols and management needs of the clinic
- Masters courses in the nursing field an advantage, not necessary
- Basic proficiency in the Microsoft suite as a tool for work
- Very good communication skills
- Very good interpersonal skills and comfortable at cross-level communication
- Keen attention to details
