Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

Afni is hiring a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst who is responsible for analyzing Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting requirements, developing value-added BI solutions, and producing a variety of reports and dashboards. The incumbent will participate in requirements collection, analysis, definition, and documentation activities, assisting in defining and prioritizing content to be included in the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Includes application structured query language (SQL), data extraction, and transformation. They will assist in defining, designing, and developing reports and dashboards for all user groups including our executives. Will also assist in strategic planning and provides feedback to strategy and operations leadership. Position can reside within any one of our Afni locations, Tucson is preferred.

What you will be doing:

  • Work with Internal and External business customers and IT resources to analyze BI and reporting requirements, develop value-added BI solutions, and produce a variety of reports and dashboards.
  • Participate in requirements collection, analysis, definition, and documentation activities; assisting in defining and prioritizing content to be included in the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Provide first line support for reporting and portal related issues and enhancement requests.
  • Design and implement custom SQL data access methods (views) to combine data from multiple data sources.
  • Examines and reviews unusual variances. Makes recommendations when applicable for process improvement.
  • Ensures timely execution of small scope projects.
  • Deliver informal/formal hands-on training for internal departments.
  • Tune BI tools to meet the enterprise performance standards.

Requirements

What you will need:
  • Associates degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
  • 2 years experience in working in Business Intelligence and/or Data Warehouse environment
  • Demonstrated database (SQL) and BI tool (Tableau) experience required.
  • Three years of work experience in a process driven environment preferred.
  • Proven experience in working with structured data.
  • Familiar with standard concepts including statistical analysis methods, practices and procedures of management accounting.
  • Seeks collaborative solutions to address customer issues.
  • Exhibits clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Builds cross functional relationships.
  • Can articulate thought process and rationale behind decision making.
  • Seeks out new tasks, training and coaching and assimilates feedback to improve performance.
