Afni is hiring a Subrogation Support Team Manager responsible for management of the department functions, personnel, budgets, projects and interactions with clients and vendors to ensure quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage all new and existing department projects. Monitor work volume; interact with supervisors to determine priorities based on need and personnel. Oversee all Supervisory responsibilities related to work flow and personnel.
  • Develop, revise and maintain department policies and procedures to support existing and changing business needs. Execute process improvement strategies within the department to improve efficiency and accuracy. Maintain open line of communication to ensure alignment of strategies to client needs and guidelines. Communicate changes in procedures to personnel in all pertinent departments for functions owned and shared. Manage all new project assignments.
  • Collect and maintain statistical data, report on productivity at both the department and individual staff level; analyze and track data to monitor results, troubleshoot problems/issues.
  • Mentor/develop all department Coaches. Recommend and/or assign continuing education opportunities for staff.Work with Supervisors to develop incentive or motivational strategies. Prepare and deliver performance appraisals.
  • Maintain and improve relationships with other department to support operational needs; attend meetings with other departments/divisions as a contributing team member.
  • Assist in determining staffing needs based on business and client requirements. Participate in department appraisal processes. Hire and terminate all department personnel.
  • Work with Manager on budget variances; control cost without sacrificing accuracy.

Requirements

What you will need:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Two to three years of relevant subrogation and/or insurance experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proven strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data. Experience with reporting tools a plus.
  • Process / procedure improvement mentality required.
  • Incumbent must be independent with a strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated strong written, verbal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated reasoning and problem solving abilities
  • Experienced in working in multi-department team is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications and windows systems are required.
