Afni is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to assist the Facilities team with day-to-day tasks and requests to keep our contact center running smooth.
 
What you will be doing:
  • Perform light maintenance and custodial duties to the interior and exterior of facilities including, but not limited to, restrooms, break rooms, sidewalks, and lobby. Perform basic repairs and maintenance of building and equipment such as chairs, tables, doors / locks, light fixtures, floor tiles, ceilings, walls, plumbing, vents, picnic tables, and awnings. Monitor HVAC system performance, escort vendors, monitor daily cleaning activities, hang pictures, and decorations. Keep facilities free of trash and debris. Shovel snow and clear sidewalks, where applicable.
  • Handle pick up and deliveries as needed.
  • Maintain and control inventory of essential supplies
  • Deliver copy paper throughout facility and pick up recycling for secure shredding.

Requirements

What you will need:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or general education Degree (GED) and zero to two months of relevant experience is preferred
  • Basic knowledge and abilities in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting is required.
  • Proficient understanding and proper use of hand and power tools is required.
  • Understand, exhibit, identify, and use appropriate safety procedures in all aspects of work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computers / related applications.
  • Possess strong customer service, interpersonal, and verbal/ written communication skills.
  • Must have a reliable insured vehicle with valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
