Afni is hiring an Associate Security Analyst who will assist with the assessment, development, and modification of information systems, policies, and procedures while balancing business needs against potential risks.

As an Associate Security Analyst, you will:

  • Interface with the user community to understand their privacy and security needs and implement procedures and technologies to accommodate these requirements.
  • Administer, configure, and troubleshoot the enterprise anti-virus environment.
  • Execute, maintain, and coordinate facets of systems access administration and account reconciliations/cleanup, including the creation and updating of Systems Access Requests (e.g., RBAC forms), Active Directory role groups, file groups, and permissions.
  • Implement, design, and enforce enterprise wide security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance of appropriate security and privacy practices.
  • Recommend information security improvements by assessing current situations, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
  • Monitor and review IDS, Firewall, VPN, and other technology security logs for unusual or suspicious activities. Implement security remediation and mitigation tasks as required.
  • Collect Information Security & Privacy data and publish periodic security metric and incident analysis reports.
  • Track and report to management on outstanding information security and audit issues.
  • Test and evaluate security hardware and software technologies.

Requirements

What you will need:
  • Associates Degree with 3 plus years IS/IT experience required.
  • MCSA/MCSE on Windows Server 2016 is preferred
  • CCNA on CISCO is preferred but not required
  • CISSP, CISA or GIAC/GSEC (or other security certifications) are preferred.
  • Candidate will be expected to work towards a reputable security certification, support for which will be provided
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Active Directory Groups and NTFS Permissions is required.
  • Must have a technical understanding of security hardware products (e.g., firewalls, IDS, etc).
  • Experience with security best practices preferred.
  • Experience administering enterprise anti-virus software a plus.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of common windows and Linux security tools use for port scanning, vulnerability scanning, network traffic analysis, forensic activities, etc. is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong follow-through and ability to complete tasks on schedule.
  • Strong focus on customer service to internal departments and external clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical curiosity and ability to effectively function in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
