Afni is hiring an Advanced Customer Support Representative for our fun contact center operations in Bloomington, Illinois. In this role, you'll work on an Afni insurance-industry client program and join our team of smart, motivated employees who connect with our client's existing and future customers.

Our Advanced Customer Support Representatives retain existing customers by communicating the advantages and disadvantages of offered plans, and promoting and selling annuities to existing customers. Be part of our team and fuel your passion for work and life.

As an Advanced Customer Support Representative, you'll:

  • Use multi-channel marketing campaigns to retain at-risk policyholders.
  • Work with individual customers and promote annuities products and solutions that best serve each individual.
  • Talk to policyholders over the phone (they call us and we call them) and explain policies, analyze their current insurance and investments, and suggest additions or changes for retention and growth.
  • Calculate the financial status and needs of the customer and presents the best suited plan to optimize risk and return associated with each policy.
  • Explain features and benefits as well as the advantages, and disadvantages of various policies to promote annuity sales.

Requirements

Bring it. You're qualified if you:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant sales experience. Sales experience in the insurance industry is a big plus!
  • Are already licensed to sell life insurance - Line of Authority: Life of the Uniform Application for Individual Life Insurance Producer License/Registration
  • Have some experience in an annuities sales environment (preferred).
  • Are an exceptional person with tremendous interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with customers well over the phone, through email, and web chat.
  • Listen well and can demonstrate the ability to probe customer needs and opportunities through question-based selling and retention techniques
  • Know what it means to establish customer rapport through mutual trust and respect.
  • Can read, understand, and communicate bills and annual statements using various illustrations to model the ideal coverage for individual policies.
  • Are self-directed, make good decisions, and manages time well.
  • Have the ability to effectively guide clients on new policies, investment annuities, and renewals.
  • Have used and are comfortable using insurance administration software applications, Microsoft Office, and web-based products to better stay organized and have client information readily available.
